SENProof is a product guide built specifically for parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs. Every recommendation on this site is chosen with the real hazards SEN families face in mind — not just the generic risks mainstream baby-safety sites cover.
Why SENProof exists
SENProof was started by a parent of SEN children. After spending hours sifting through generic child-safety advice that didn't account for elopement, sensory-seeking behaviour, or reduced pain sensitivity, it became clear that there was no single, trustworthy resource designed for families like ours. SENProof is the site we wished existed. It covers the rooms and hazards that matter most when a child's needs go beyond the typical developmental range.
How we choose products
Every product on SENProof is selected based on the specific risk it addresses for SEN children — not price, brand popularity, or commercial relationships. We research each category, consider the failure modes of standard child-safety products when used by children with different sensory profiles or motor skills, and then recommend the option that addresses those failure modes most directly. We update recommendations when better products become available.
